REIKI FIRST DEGREE WORSHOP 4th and 5th February 2012
Reiki is a healing technique which was rediscovered and developed
by Dr. Mikao Usui who lived in Japan from 1865-1926.
It is a simple hands on healing method that balances the mind, body and energy system.
Reiki is applied by a practitioner to a client using a very simple 'laying of hands' technique.
The client remains fully clothed throughout the treatment which takes place in a warm,
safe, and relaxed athmosphere. A treatment typically lasts up to an hour.
Reiki teachings have undergone many changes and transformations since being introduced to the western world in the 1970's, but it remains a wonderful tool for healing, personal development and empowerment on all levels. It is said that Dr. Usui originally developed his healing technique as -
"the art of inviting happiness".
Today, the word ‘Reiki’ is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy.
‘Rei’ means universal, and ‘Ki’, or ‘Chi’, is a subtle energy that sustains us. So ‘Reiki’ is
Universal Life Force Energy.

First Degree Reiki
The First Degree Reiki course teaches you about the history of Reiki and how to give yourself a Reiki Treatment. Reiki is first and foremost a personal healing method/holistic maintenance system before it is a complementary therapy for others. During the course you will have the chance to open up your energy field (Aura) and your life to receive profound healing. After the course you will undertake a 21 Day Cleanse to clear your body of toxins, to clear your mind of limiting beliefs or negative thought patterns, and to clear your energy system of any blockages you may be holding. The result will be a greater sense of calm, clarity of mind, and greater sensitivity to the world around you. A full manual and certificate is supplied after each course.
Second Degree Reiki
The Second Degree Reiki course will allow you access to much more powerful healing energy. You will learn symbols allowing you to channel and send Reiki to persons at a distance, known as absentee or distance healings. This mystical concept is becoming increasingly experimented with and successfully practiced and documented.
During the course you will open up your energy field (Aura) and your life to receive profound healing once again.
After the course you will undertake a 21 Day Cleanse to clear your body of toxins, to clear your mind of limiting beliefs or negative thought patterns, and to clear your energy system of any blockages you may be holding. This process is repeated after every Reiki course so as to maintain discipline and dedication to our own healing practice. After second degree Reiki the student may practice on others professionally. A full manual and certificate is supplied after each course.
